3.5 Hour Leather Clutch Bag Taster Course £60

This is a fabulous introduction to working with leather. The clutch bag is a perfect size for an Ipad or evening bag. It’s really versatile and a super handy size. On this course everything will be pre prepared for you so we will have cut all the leather, lining and stabilisers ready for you to be shown how to assemble it.

  • How to use different tools for cutting leather
  • How to insert a zip 
  • How to make a tassel and attach it onto the hardware
  • How to polish leather
  • Sew leather on a domestic or industrial sewing machine

 

When you arrive all of the components for your bag will be cut and ready to be assembled. No need to bring anything but your lovely selves and possibly a camera and notepad to document your project. 

We have the option for Black, tan brown, dark green, navy, purple and light fawn grey leather for this clutch bag

The metal component choices are gold, silver or antique brass. During the checkout process please select which colour leather and component type you would like.

 

Machines

You have the option to work with domestic or industrial sewing machines. We are very lucky to be sponsored by Tysew Sewing Machines and we have a number of different machines all fitted with servo motors which are ‘slow speed motors’ so they are really easy to use and beginner friendly. 

It is totally possible to make this bag on a domestic sewing machine so if you are more comfortable using one of those it’s no problem at all!

Timetable, Booking & Time
To view our timetable click here. This course runs from 10.30am-3pm(include 1/2 lunch) or 1.30pm-5pm.
Once you have viewed the timetable and decided which date(s) you would like to attend please click “add to cart” on the course page. During the checkout please write in the dates. 
Capacity & Course times
Our classes are very small (max. 4 students per class) so there is plenty of one-to-one tuition. Courses tend to fill-up fast so if your requested course date is already fully booked we will be in touch to discuss alternative dates that suit you.

Tea (&herbal tea) and coffee and biscuits are is provided but please bring your own drinking water.

All classes run with a minimum of only 1 person so you can have peace of mind that once you have booked your place you know nothing will change.

On the day:
We will have a half lunch break together and lunch will be provided for you. We will have a selection of bread cheese, ham, and salad. If you have any specific dietary requirements please bring your own lunch.  Coffee / tea and a few snacks will also be provided to keep up our energy throughout the day. Please bring your own drinking water.
 

Location
We have just re-located from Hove to Lancing
Unit 7, Suite1, 44 Chartwell Road Lancing Business Centre, Lancing, West Sussex BN15 8UE. Once you have booked the course you will receive an email with driving directions and public transport info. If you arrive by train it's roughly a 10 minute walk from Lancing station to the studio. There is free parking on site.
Taster and 1 Day Courses Godalming, 10a Church St, GU7 1EH. Surrey
Loacted in a gorgeous shop owned by "I made this craft" just off the High street. There are a few paying car parks located about 5 minutes walk. If you are arriving by train, Godalming station is the closest and is in walking distance to the shop.
